For four months now the Interim Parliamentary Commission works on the new Election Code and discusses the possibilities for reducing the so called “corporate vote”, the participation of formations used by economic groups and the vote buying. For all those possibilities we are talking with Antoaneta Tzoneva, Chair of the Board of the Institute for Public Environment Development. After the local elections in 2007 the Institute performed two reports “Elections for “SALE” or the death of local democracy” and “Mayors on Lease”. Now the Institute is monitoring the development of the new Election Code and hosts the web-site www.izborenkodeks.com.
