In April 2011 team of the Institute for Public Environment Development held 23 interviews in the following municipalities – Petrich, Sozopol and Kazanlak. Interviews were held with political representatives in the local authorities, leaders of the local political headquarters and election headquarters, representatives of local and regional media.
The purpose of the research was the identification of the attitudes in the three municipalities concerning the vote buying on the following in the autumn local elections.
The research was funded by “RiskMonitor” Foundation within the project “Democratic principles and current practices in the election process: the Bamako Declaration in the Context of Bulgaria”.
The results of the terrain research will presented at a conference in Sofia with international participation.
