On the 14th of October, 2011 the experts of IPED conducted training on independent monitors, who will observe the local and presidential elections in Bulgaria (23th of October, 2011). The training was organized by the National democratic institute for International affairs and by the Open society institute in Sofia. Тhe election process in Bulgaria will be observed by Roma people, registered as monitors by IPED. The monitoring process will examine polling stations, located in the Roma ghettos, where the election violations tend to be the most. The Institute for public environment development is registered as an organization, which can monitor the elections by the Central election commission (CEC) in Bulgaria.
