On 18th of April, as а part of the global initiative “Open Government Partnership”, the Bulgarian Government pledged to extent the possibilities for public use of the “Integrated System for Management of the Sources from the EU Structural Funds”
Мeasure: Enhancing the public use of the information system for management and monitoring of the Structural Funds and the Cohesion Fund Wider scope of the available public information in order to achieve the project’ and operational programs’ indicators and expanding the opportunities for repeated use of the system data, including in formats allowing automated processing of information.
In 2011 the experts of the Institute for Public Environment Development, supported by Open Society Institute- Sofia, monitored and assessed the system. The findings of the study were presented in a report during a discussion on the 17th of November, 2011. The proposed government measure is a recommendation included in our survey.
Participants in the discussion were Mr. Tomislav Donchev – Bulgarian Minister without portfolio, charged of EU funds management, Mr.Vladislav Toshev – deputy-chairman of the Committee on European Affairs and Oversight of the European Funds in the Bulgarian National Assembly, representatives of the Bulgarian Ministerial Cabinet, NGOs and media.
The report, written by the Institute for Public Environment Development was a part of the project “Civil monitoring over the used by the Government mechanisms for managing the sources of the EU structural funds”.
