On the 21st of October, 2014 the Institute for Public Environment Development organized a press-conference on the topic: “The preference system & was it successful? Analyze of the electoral outcomes and of the non-partisan observation of the electoral process”.
Our team presented information about the following themes:
- How was the “preference vote” used by the voters? Were the voters familiar with their right to personalize their vote for the partizan candidates? What type of risks existed for the accurate account of the preference vote outcomes?
- What would be the future for the “preference vote system” if this electoral mechanism is attacked by the political parties?
- How could the Electoral Code further guarantee the right of the voters to personalize their choice for political representatives?
