At a meeting held on May 13, 2024, the Institute for Public Environment Development (IPED) and the National Audit Office discussed opportunities for long-term cooperation. It will be focused on the control of political party funding aiming to ensure a higher level of transparency of the spending of public funds.
During the meeting several topics were addressed. They included the process of accountability of the party financing; the data provided by the Single Public Register of the National Audit Office; IPED’s proposal for the development of a register for media spending during the campaign, etc.
The representatives of the National Audit Office and the Institute for Public Environment Development also expressed their intention to sign a Memorandum of Cooperation.
