The Institute for Public Environment Development is a civil society organization that focuses its work on good governance and accountability in public policy in Bulgaria. For the past 15 years, our team has maintained the Open Parliament platform, which presents data on the work of the National Assembly and monitors legislative activity. We publish analyses focusing on: the performance of various institutions in the country; the protection of civil and political rights; the electoral legislation; the allocation of public resources, etc

For more than 15 years, IPED has been monitoring elections in Bulgaria with the help of hundreds of volunteers in the country and abroad. We monitor the administration of elections and changes in the legislation in this area. We also maintain  “My Vote” – the only platform explaining the rights and obligations of the voters and the members of the electoral administration

Our analyses and publications often serve as the basis for journalistic investigations and articles.
