Representatives of the Institute for Public Environment Development participated in a meeting, initiated by the OSCE/ODIHR. In order to evaluate the pre electoral situation and the preliminary work for preparation of the Presidential elections, OSCE is holds consultations with representatives of the institutions responsible for the electoral process, political formations, NGOs and media.
During the meeting with NGO representatives the following topics were discussed: the newly adopted amendments in the Electoral Code, as well as those proposed after them; the independent non-partisan observation of the electoral process; the organization of the electoral process; campaign financing and financial reporting to the National Audit Office; media coverage of the campaign; etc.
